Types Of Laws In The United States

In  United  State   we  have  the  following  types  of  laws:
Procedural  Laws.  
This  is  the  law  that  controls  the  procedure followed  by  the  court  and  the  parties  in the  approach  of any  legal case. The  procedural  laws  are  divided  into  two  groups  that  are the criminal  and  the  civil procedure.  For  ease  lawyer  distinguish  the  procedural  and  the  substantive  laws  traditionally.
Criminal  procedure- In U.S  this  law  consist  of  overlay  of Federal  constitutional  case  law  bound  with  the Federal  and  the  state  statute  which  provide  the  basis  for creation  and  enforcement  of  bodies,  prison  system  and  trial  proceeding  on  criminal  cases.
Civil  procedure-The  Judicial  proceedings  that  involves  the  private  parties  are  governed  by  the  civil  procedure. The  civil  procedure  has  some  notable  features  like  the  extensive  pretrial  discovery, heavy  reliance  on live  witness   which  is  obtained  at  deposition.
Substantive   Laws.
Comprise  of  the  actual substance  or  the  principle  of  the  law,  which  is  the law  which  is  enforced  legally,  like  the  right and duties and  even what  amount  of  any  wrong  action  will  amount  into  violation  of  those  rights  and  duties. It   has  the  following  types:
Criminal  law,  considers  any  wrongful  act  that can  be  termed  as  serious  to  an  extent  that  they  can breach  the  sovereign’s  peace  and  harmony  and  hence  prosecution by  the  state.
All  states  have  almost  similar laws  in  terms  of  higher  crime  cases  like  murder and  rape,  though  the  final  judgment  of  the  court  will vary  in different  states.
Contract  law-This  will  occur  between  private  parties,  whereby  the  contract  law  will  cover  the  obligations  established by  agreement.  This  has  become  so highly  standardized  nationwide  on  issues  of  transactions   concerning  sales  of  goods.
The  parties  in  this  case  are  allowed  to  agree  in order  to arbitrate the  dispute  in their  contract  under  the  federal  arbitration  act  which  has  been  interpreted  to  cover  all  contract  that  arise under  federal  or  even state  law. 
The arbitration  clause  are  enforceable  until   when the  party  resisting  show  fraud  in the contract.
Tort law- Covers  all  the  civil  actions  among  the  private  parties  due  to  any  wrongful  act  which  sums  up to  violation  of  the  obligation  enforced  by  law  but  not  the  contact. Generally  tort  law  covers  all  sorts  of  wrong  that human  can  afflict  upon  each  other.
